Our seniors visited Lima Primary, Manor, and the Middle School for a celebratory Senior Walk, greeted by cheers, high-fives, and smiles from students and staff alike. It was a moment full of pride, nostalgia, and Cougar spirit as they inspired the next generation of HF-L students. 💛🖤 Congratulations, Class of 2025 — your journey is just getting started! #WeAreHFL

Congratulations to Kelsey Halladay on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Halladay was nominated by parents, Alexandrea and Joshua Bennett who noted the following, "Ms. Halladay exemplifies patience, compassion, and creativity in her job as a paraprofessional. She has a calm, nurturing demeanor that makes our child feel seen and valued. Ms. Halladay has an instinctive understanding of our child's needs, supporting both his academic instruction and social-emotional development. She is always available to help our child through tough situations, such as sensory challenges in PE, take a math break (our child’s favorite activity!), or just get a snack. With Ms. Halladay's support, our child has had tremendous personal growth this school year and has developed a sense of belonging in his classroom and at Lima Primary. Ms. Halladay embodies the values of the Honeoye Falls-Lima Central School District and deserves to be recognized with the Cougar Pride Award." #WeAreHFL

📣 Celebrating Excellence in School Public Relations We are proud to share that Leah Shepard, our district’s Public Relations Specialist, has once again been recognized on the national stage. Shepard has received the Social Media Award of Excellence—the highest honor in its category—from the National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) for her outstanding work on the “Guess That Board Member” campaign during School Board Recognition Week. Congratulations to Mrs. Stachura, Mrs. Swift and Mrs. Insalaco on being recipients of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Mrs. Stachura, Mrs. Swift and Mrs. Insalaco were nominated by student Thomas T. (with help from Nicole and John Thering), who noted the following, "Mrs. Stachura, Mrs. Swift and Mrs. I are kind, fun and helpful teachers. When I was in the hospital for 2.5 weeks they had my whole class make cards for me. They brought me gifts from teachers in the school. And they let me have phone calls with my class. When they called I played a game they invented called "Guess the Classmate" and it was fun and made me smile. Mrs. Stachura let me go to another class to do the squid dissection after I missed it. She also always gets me gluten free snacks when we have class parties which is very thoughtful. In school Mrs. I helps if we need a little bit of help when Mrs. Stachura is busy. Mrs. Swift helped me get the right lessons so I could learn to be a better reader. I think they make a really good team and helped me learn a lot this year." #WeAreHFL

Congratulations to Ethan Cole on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Cole was nominated by his mother, Camille Cole who noted, "I nominate Ethan because of his perseverance. Ethan has amazed me throughout his High school years. He's done things I could never or was never able to do. From taking foreign languages at school as well as online. To studying after school at the library. Tutoring peers after school hours. Completing courses some of us don't even understand. Going to states with the math club. Taking the SAT until he received the score he accepted and the Numbers of essays he wrote this year for college acceptance. He keeps working to make himself and others better. Like I said at first he amazes me. I'm so proud of the man he's becoming and I know his dad would be proud also. I cannot wait to see what he does next." #WeAreHFL

These three fifth grade Mathletes took 1st place in the Grade 5 competition and brought home $5,000 for our school! 🏆💰 Huge thanks to their families and Coach Gonsenhauser (behind the camera!) for the support. Congratulations to Caitlin Garvey on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award! Garvey was nominated by Camille Cole and Sam Kresge who noted the following, "since Caitlin has become part of the HF-L staff here at Lima Primary she has become a major part of our lives as well as the other paras in her room. She is very devoted to her students as well as us. She puts her heart into everything thing she does. This year has been a challenge. Caitlin has applied so much time into completely rearranging our entire room to help the students learning atmosphere. Including getting us classroom pets , two gerbils, to help the kiddos learn compassion and responsibilities. Caitlin makes time for us to understand each child and to learn how to help them each individually. She has so many great learning centers and skills through activities that she teaches the kiddos. We just want to thank her for her endless dedication, her new ways of thinking outside the box, and genuine love of teaching." #WeAreHFL
